Here is the quote that Bubba has on his personal info site:

Never quit!!! There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Its just up to that one person to walk though it and clam the rewards.

I miss Bubba

RL came by my work yesterday with some pictures. A couple of them are Bubba. I know I haven't written much about him.....but then I don't know much. He IMs RL all the time.....but not much my way.

I know he is in Iraq and had another birthday while over there. This year Mitchell and I did not send him a birthday box, RL was suppose to be doing it. It seems she only mailed it a couple of days ago tho. I am kind of sad that he didn't get a box from us.....last time he was in Iraq for his day, we sent a small bday party. It made Bubba smile.

I will see what I can do to get some pictures and some updates from him so I can post them on his blog.

God bless Bubba today......help him stay safe.

Long overdue update

Bubba is actually in Iraq. He has been since December 4th. I am way behind in keeping his blog up to date. Sorry about that.

We had some great times while he was here. I am glad we got to come a month before his leave....time to do some family bonding memory making stuff. hehehe

Like watching Bubba, RL and Mitchell play the Simpson car game. Who would think adults could have so much fun with a silly kid video game? Everyone laughed at the wacky driving. But truth be known, they are all pretty good at collecting the coins and cards the needed. I never got a chance to try the game, thank goodnes.......I would be horrible.

There there is the rotissary we have. Bubba fell in love with it! We will have to get him one when he gets home. He was using it to make burgers and hash browns and just about anything he could try putting in it.

I watched him pack tons of stuff in just a few small bags. I wonder what its actually like to have to live out of packs? I pray he has enough stuff.

Then poof.......he was gone. :(

RL was getting emails from Bubba but didn't know it! LOL We have to use a new secure military email sight to reach him and she didn't know she had some coming in. She has also had a couple of calls.

For the moment he is chilling and waiting for the rest of his troups to arrive so they can head up north.....where ever it is he will be ending up. I also know he has a cold.....probably the same crap we all had around here. I feel bad for him about being sick so far from home......at least he has down time so he will heal nicely, I'm sure.

Anyway, that is a really quick update.....I will attempt to stay on this more so yall will know how its going his way.

In California right now

Bubba is doing that thing where they send them out to Califonia for a month of training, then back home for a month or so. Then off to Iraq. :( Just thought I should make sure to let everyone know what is going on.

Bubba and Robbie Lynn

My Bubba and Robbie Lynn, the daughter. What a nice looking pair they make, don't they? This is the Christmas that Bubba returned home from Iraq. He had a necklace made for RL while he was over there. They are showing it off.

Bubba Gellermann - my sil

Bubba is the best thing to happen to this family. :) We all met him at a bowling ally, of all places. Big guy with a wonderful smile. Fell in love with our daughter, Robbie Lynn, and we all fell in love with him too.

Now Bubba has spent several years doing service in the Army. He is currently stationed in Ft. Hood Texas.

We are awaiting his second tour over to Iraq. I wish I had of thought to have a blog going for our first time. It was so scary to those of us left here in the states. Never knowing where he was or what was going on.

But we prayed alot....and I mean ALOT.

Bubba has a daughter who was born while he was away. That was hard for us......but you know what? Having them gone for holidays is the hardest thing, I think. You pictue them alone with no family around.........but Bubba says he always has family around.....the rest of his troop. :)

Anway, I play to blog on my favorite military guy......Bubba. Our family's "Army of One"
